Taste Bars are made by a simple process in which fruit, nuts, and spices are ground and mixed together. They are then baked in our commercial kitchen. We use only naturral ingredients in this process.

The shelf life for each bar is 14 months. We use a special package that keeps out UV light which maintains freshness without the use of preservatives.

The cocoa used in Taste Bars is sourced from farmers who are Fair Trade Certified by Fair Trade USA. The organization's mission is to "enable sustainable development and community empowermnet by cultivating a more equitable global trade model that benefits farmers, workers, consumers, industry, and earth."

That fat in Taste Bars comes from nuts and in some cases, bananas or chocolate. We also use organic grass fed butter.

The protein in Taste Bars is naturally occurring in the nuts and also in pumpkin seeds which are naturally high in protein. To provide more protein in our bars, we'd have to add ingredients like soy or whey protein isolates which would immediately effect the taste and texture of our bars.

If places in the freezer or outside in cold temperatures, Taste Bars will become firmer but will not freeze. Similarly, Taste Bars (with the exception of the flavors containing chocolate chips) will not melt when heated. However, to preserve product quality we recmmend that you store Taste Bars in a cool, dry area.

All Taste Bar wrappers are able to be recycled. The Taste Bar cassied/display boxes are made of 100% recycled paperboard.
